Ravi Balwada oversees SumTotal’s SaaS Operations & Global IT organization. He is responsible for ensuring operational excellence through management of the company's SaaS operations, global internal systems, processes & corporate applications. He has over 18 years in senior management positions for global technology businesses. From 2005-2008, as senior director of On Demand Global Operations at Oracle, he transformed the company’s On Demand offering into an adaptive, scalable & highly optimized operating platform.
Prior to Oracle, he founded and managed Global Technology Management Group, Inc., an IT services business with offices in China & the U.S. His reputation as a catalyst for new business growth earned him a role of VP for The Carlyle Group from 2000-2003, where he developed investment & growth strategies for early stage technology companies in Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Ind. Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, India.
